DS 220: Installation
OBJECTIVE
After determining your issue of research, work with your group to create a captivating, impactful installation. In addition to the final installation, each group member should make a collage, a sketch, and three models of the project.
MY DESIGN: 'I DON'T WANT TO DIE FOR FASHION'
Our topic was fast fashion, and we wanted to specifically make a statement on the treatment of the garment workers. Our installation depicts a figure (representing all garment workers) being dragged down by the immense pile of clothing. The color gradient and body positioning indicate the struggle that garment workers undergo every day.
